Aran Islands: Inis Mor

Location: Inis Mor. The largest of the Aran Islands.

How I travelled there: Took the Aran Island Ferry from the pier in Ros a Mhil, Connemara. (You can also avail of an Aran Island ferry service from Doolin Pier)

When there, you need to:

  • Rent a bike and cycle around the island.
  • Check out the gorgeous beaches
  • Visit the famous Poll na bPeist (this is where the Red Bull Cliff Dive takes place each year. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and didn’t get to see it during my trip. Definitely going to go back to see it however) If you don’t have a fear of heights, the Dún Aonghasa cliff is worth a visit.
