Location: Inis Mor. The largest of the Aran Islands.
How I travelled there: Took an Aran Island Ferry from the pier in Ros a Mhil, Connemara. (You can also avail of an Aran Island ferry service from Doolin Pier)
When there, you need to:
- Rent a bike and cycle around the island.
- Check out the gorgeous beaches
- Visit the famous Poll na bPeist (this is where the Red Bull Cliff Dive takes place each year. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and didn’t get to see it during my trip. Definitely going to go back to see it however) If you don’t have a fear of heights, the Dún Aonghasa cliff is worth a visit.
Where to go for food & drink: Ti Joe Wattys Pub
Here are some pictures I snapped during my trip:

Just some shots from a wonderful hike out in Leenane, Connemara, a few weeks back. Storm Euan was kicking off on the day I was there, hence the storm clouds in some of the shots!

“I have gone far out in the world, east and west in my time, and so the peace within these enclosing walls is fitting for the evening of my days”.

When I visited Ballintubber Abbey earlier this year, my mother and grandmother accompanied me. My mother wanted to see the abbey. My grandmother, on the other hand, wanted to see where 007 got married!
